Director of Finance

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $72,150 - $80,000 per year


The Finance Director supports CareFirstNY's mission by overseeing all financial operations to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, risk evaluation, policy implementation, and process improvement. The Director leads finance team development, manages the annual audit process, ensures adherence to FASB regulations, and collaborates across departments to align practices with the organization's vision, mission, and values. Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 4+ years' accounting experience with prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred, but not required.

Licensed Social Worker - Hospice Care

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $60,405 - $63,914 per year


In this role, you will provide emotional support, counseling, and advocacy for patients and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of serious illness, caregiving, and grief. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, assisting with resources such as benefits and placement, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and insurance guidelines. Successful candidates will bring empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting patients and families through compassionate, person-centered care. Applicants must hold a degree in social work from an accredited program and be licensed (or license-eligible) in New York State; one year of healthcare-related social work experience is preferred.

Weekend Nurse (RN)

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range:  $74,100 - $77,000 per year


CareFirstNY is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Nurse to provide after-hour support, case management, and weekend admissions for patients and families in our hospice program. In this role, you will triage incoming calls, conduct admissions and nursing visits, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The position requires a New York State Registered Nurse license, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care during weekend shifts.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Salary Range:  $22.50 - $24.00 an hour 


You'll be responsible for performing duties outlined in the plan of care while providing ongoing support, education, and empowerment to patients and their families. You'll work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team to provide personal care and emotional support to patients and families and provide informational visits, admissions, and/or frequency visits as assigned. Qualified candidates will possess a valid and current NYS License Practical Nurse license and driver’s license. Experience in nursing and home care preferred, but not required.
