For over 12 years, Tali has cultivated expertise in leadership development, culture, engagement, communication, change management, strategic planning, and organizational alignment. A lifelong learner dedicated to both personal and professional growth, she holds a Master of Science in Leadership with a concentration in Human Resources from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Keuka College.
Throughout her career, Tali has held various roles and supported multiple departments at CareFirstNY, including Volunteer Services, Human Resources, Operations, People and Culture, Finance, and Administration.
In 2023, Tali was honored to step in as CareFirstNY’s Interim CEO and was even more deeply honored to accept the permanent CEO position in January 2024. In her leadership role, she guides diverse teams, addressing conflict and inefficiencies with a focus on effective resolution through communication, consistency, and connection. One of her key goals is to transform the organization’s vision and culture, aligning staff with CareFirstNY’s strategic goals and mission, which is to affirm life through extraordinary, compassionate support and care.
Tali is also passionate about giving back to her local community through volunteer work. She proudly represents CareFirstNY as a board member for the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce, the Fund for Women of the Southern Tier, and was recently appointed to the Guthrie Corning Hospital Board of Directors.
Phoebe began working at CareFirstNY in October 2023. Originally from Rochester, NY, Phoebe’s healthcare finance career began at a small health clinic in downtown Rochester. From there, her work in the non-profit world continued in 2002 as she spent the next 14 years at the University of Rochester in various accounting/finance capacities. Most recently, she served as the CFO at a substance use disorder agency, also in Rochester. Over her career, Phoebe was credited with a variety of important accomplishments, including enhancing accounting processes, thoughtfully navigated the build-out and ramp-up of physician practices and working with many organization leaders to educate herself and others on the financial impact of day-to-day operational decisions.
With a foundation forged in the military, Dan embarked on his professional journey at the company in 2004. He pioneered the Information Technology Department, driving us into the digital era with innovative projects. Dan orchestrated the implementation of our electronic medical records system, automated billing processes, and extensive tech rollouts. His technical expertise and leadership transformed the organization, leaving an enduring impact.
In his current role, Dan leverages data to uncover trends and extract insights from day-to-day business information. By translating raw data into actionable intelligence, he empowers informed decisions, proactive problem-solving, and identifies new opportunities.
Dan's is driven by technology that enables a strategic approach uniting individuals across the organization, aligning us with overarching goals and propelling us toward a future of innovation and success.
Sybil Aumick, SHRM-CP has been with CareFirstNY since 2021 in Human Resources. Following several years in professional recruitment, leadership development, and management, Sybil followed her passions to CareFirstNY where she provides high-level support to our staff, promoting a culture of excellence, empowerment, and integrity.
Kate Hembrooke BSN, RN started her hospice and palliative care career in the late 1990’s with CareFirstNY. She has served in a variety of clinical roles over the past 20+ years including her current role as the Director of Hospice Services. Here she provides her expertise, guidance, and support for the hospice team to ensure the highest quality of care can be provided to the patients and families. Kate’s devotion to hospice and palliative care is both professional as well as personal and she feels strongly that patients and their families benefit from its holistic and team approach. With a passion for hospice and palliative care Kate believes that the mission of affirming life through extraordinary, compassionate, support and care can be life changing. That life is what you celebrate. All of it. Even the end.
Carly is an LMSW certified in Thanatology (the study of death, dying, and bereavement), and is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Social Worker. Carly has extensive clinical and leadership experience, with a passion for supporting her team and driving change within the community for those impacted by grief and serious illness. She is greatly committed to her work and to the field of social work.
