CANCELLED! Grieving at the Holidays Glassblowing

Hands On Glass 124 Crystal Lane, Corning

This event has been CANCELLED. This event is held in collaboration with Hands on Glass in Corning, to provide grieving families an opportunity to honor a loved one at the holidays.  Each participant will have the opportunity to create a hand-blown glass ornament that can be hung on your tree year after year as a special remembrance of those we still hold close to our hearts.  This is a family friendly event. Cost: $40/per person. Registration via EventBrite required. COVID restrictions will be in place.

CareFirst's participation in Sparkle 2021 has been CANCELLED. The holidays are a particularly difficult time for those who are grieving the loss of someone they love. Coming together to support one another and honor those no longer here can offer hope and healing. This is a special collaboration with the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes allows us to remember those who have touched and shaped our lives. Hello Grief ~ Children’s Story Time

Steuben County Library 300 Nasser Civic Center Plaza, Suite 101, Corning

In collaboration with Steuben County Library, this story time uses expressive activities to familiarize children with grief.  Join the Steuben County Library and a CareFirst grief counselor for a story that offers a first look at loss. This will offer a unique experience and opportunity to explore grief in a supportive environment. We all have to say goodbye before we say hello. Hello Grief will be held on March 9, May 7 and October 22 Registration is open and there is no fee for this event
